The Bike Park has opened up its offroad bike trails and high-speed gondola lift, and there’s a downhill line for everyone from the greenest amateur to World Cup competitors. The competition season is just getting started—it has kicked off in a huge way with the Spring National ProGRT event.
The trails are among the East Coast’s finest. 1,000 feet of vertical drop takes you over 52 trails ranging from comfy to crazy, from easy riding rolling flow sections to full gnarl, highly technical switchbacks, jumps and rock gardens. Bring your ride or rent local if you’re traveling light.
Looking to up your aerial game? They have a 50 foot jump airbag!
For non-bikers, there’s the Zoom Ziplines, offering thrilling rides with equally thrilling scenic views. The kids will love the Mountain Creek Waterpark—just the thing for a hot summer day. Over 20 features like Canyon Cliffs, the lazy Colorado River, and a huge wave pool. The waterpark opens June 9th for the 2019 season.
Challenge your acrophobia at the thrilling TreEscape Aerial Adventure Park, with swaying rope walkways suspended high in the forest canopy. Multi-sport fans can test their endurance in duathlons and triathlons, with several opening registrations now for summer events.
Then your hungry family can grab a bite at the Trailside Biergarten patio and restaurant onsite, or head into town to any of the great local food spots, with something to suit every taste.
